An offseason that saw blue-blood coaching positions open at Refugio, Calallen and Flour Bluff had next big shakeup emerge on Thursday when it was revealed being the fact that Chris Soza, one of coaches in the region who has done tremendous work and has a very long coaching career, was retiring.

Another assortment of names have become legendary too in the active wins leaders — Jason Herring, Steve Campbell, Chris Steinbruck and now Soza — meaning that there has been primary turnover atop the active wins leaders table in the Coastal Bend.

The combined coaching record of Herring, Soza and Steinbruck which stands at 586 would be Brown's running tally.  However, he was an indispensable part of Phil Danaher's four decades of state record state record achievements at Calallen.

Brent Davis at Gregory-Portland becomes the mainstream leader in the win list of active coaching in South Texas in the offseason afternoons with a record of 221-114-1. Davis, amassed a small number of these victories at Banquete, Alice and also Sinton.

Likewise, to Brent Kornegay, the takeover at Three Rivers probably means a lot as well. 2 (138-9) San Diego lifted his Bo Ochoa crew intern San Diego’s one-win ranker in the area is the third-winningest coach in the region (112-58).

No other coach in our will make this record by reaching 100-game win level.
